First and foremost Tracey and I hope you are all keeping safe and well during these extremely challenging times?
We would like to begin with a Thank You, as when wrote to you on the 24th March to advise that we had taken the difficult decision to suspend all our services due to the Government lockdown, we, as a family business, were extremely concerned and worried over this pandemic and the effect this will have on our business. We could never have imagined that so many of you would take the time to respond in such an overwhelming and positive way, your words of support for us have been truly humbling and we cannot thank you enough.
During a Government question session on the 26th March and subsequent televised debates, it became apparent that as a business we could and should continue trading as we can abide by the strict social distancing for our customers to ensure your safety as well as ours. A direct question regarding window cleaners / gardeners continuing services was asked and the answer from a Minister was that not only could they do so, but that the minister actively encouraged them to do just that, as this was not only good for the economy, but also for the environment. As Tracey and I share a household, we are able to continue working as a team, we wear appropriate PPE and carry sanitiser and disinfectant in the van.
Tracey and I have worked out a strategy to enable us to resume working at the earliest opportunity, we have rescheduled our call file, but please be advised that we are playing catch-up as we are currently at least 3 weeks behind. We will notify as usual via text/ email of the visit the day before. We are keen to ensure that you are still able to raise questions or concerns about your lawn, you can do this via email / phone call or text. On arrival, please could you ensure that access points are unlocked and clear prior to our arrival as we will NOT be knocking, please stay indoors during treatment, if you have any important questions whilst we are in the garden please call us on 07867032123. Invoices will be emailed with any recommendations / advice. Please settle invoices via bank transfer , during the pandemic, we would like to avoid any cheque or cash payments. We apologise for any delayed treatments and any inconvenience, we will be working hard to bring everyone up to date in the next 8 weeks, subject to no further lockdown restrictions coming into place.
Unfortunately we have had to postpone our planned aeration week (week comm. 27th April) – we will be booking another week later in the Autumn, where the reduced prices will still apply. We are currently taking booking for wetting agents – the weather has been stunning but please don’t forget to water your lawns at least every third day if no significant rainfall has occurred.
