Hard surface moss and algae control
Moss seems to love life in this country, you find it all over the place; in the lawn, on the roof and certainly having a party on driveways, walls, patios, pathways and decking. It is safe to say if you have an area around your property that is shaded and damp, moss is going to grow there.
To treat moss you have to select the correct method, lawn moss requires iron sulphate whereas hard surface moss requires something completely different.
If you were to apply iron sulphate to a hard surface, the iron is going to stain. If you apply hard surface moss control to a lawn, it will kill everything. If you jet wash moss from a hard surface - yes it removes it but it will not control it as the jet wash will spread spores, which will settle onto the nicely damp surface to grow back once again. A jet wash could also be damaging the surface being sprayed - certainly on patios or block paving driveways, the sand or cement will be blasted out and remedial work is required to re-grout.
This is where we can help.
With hard surface moss, we apply a solution which is a “spray and leave” formula and extremely effective. When applied on a dry day, the formula begins to work within 4-7 days - dehydrating the moss, turning it a pale brown and by simply brushing away, the moss is gone. It should be noted that moss is likely to return the following year due to the environment it is growing within, so the key to this is control.
The active substance in our solution also helps to remove algae mould and other single celled organisms from hard surfaces, by disruption of the cell membrane.
This solution is also suitable for use on all exterior hard surfaces including drives, roofs, paths, tennis courts, artificial turf, concrete, tarmac & block paving. Preventative action is significantly reduced when applied to loose or friable surfaces such as gravel.
